Occupational Therapist

About Me

Hi, I’m Sruthi, a Paediatric Occupational Therapist at GRIT Physio. I work closely with children, families, and our allied health team to support kids in building independence, emotional regulation, and confidence in their daily lives. My therapy style is playful, warm, and practical—whether we’re working on feeding, sensory processing, or school readiness.

I have a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Bond University and a strong background in family-centred care. I often work alongside our physiotherapy team for joint sessions, and I also provide support for families navigating the NDIS, including Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA), assistive technology, and short-notice sessions when needed.

What I specialise in

  • Paediatric OT (from early childhood through to young adults)
  • Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA) and NDIS reporting
  • Joint sessions with physios for complex or physical disability care
  • DIRFloortime for autism and developmental support
  • SOS Feeding Program for fussy or anxious eaters
  • Assistive technology trials and recommendations
  • Key Word Sign and communication support
  • Telehealth and flexible session options for families
  • Building rapport and trust through playful, client-led care

Highlights of my career

Before joining GRIT, I worked with Early Start Australia, providing therapy to children and young adults with a wide range of developmental and sensory needs. I’ve completed placements at Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and Kids Therapy Club, and hold additional training in DIRFloortime, SOS Feeding, and Key Word Sign.

What I value most in my work is helping families feel supported, listened to, and included in the process—especially when working through NDIS applications, transitions to school, or emotionally challenging milestones. I take pride in writing clear, thorough reports and offering care that’s easy to access and easy to follow.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, I love travelling, spending time with friends, and exploring new cultures. I believe therapy should feel personal and engaging, and I bring that mindset into every session I run.
