Hi, I’m Nitin, Director and Senior Physiotherapist at GRIT Physio. I specialise in spinal and sports rehabilitation, and I believe great physiotherapy starts with hands-on care that’s done properly. I take pride in my manual therapy skills, and every session is focused, purposeful, and tailored to what you actually need.
I’ve spent nearly 10 years working in musculoskeletal and sports rehab, and I still love the process of helping someone understand their body, build a clear plan, and work towards a result that actually lasts. I’ve had two spinal surgeries myself, so I know how frustrating it can be to feel stuck, confused, or like no one’s really listening. That’s why I focus so heavily on clarity, simplicity, and step-by-step care that gives you direction from day one.
I currently consult with Cricket Victoria and have worked with elite athletes through the Melbourne Stars and the Cricket Sports Medicine Centre. I’ve also spent time in hospital settings like Epworth, working alongside leading orthopaedic surgeons and rehab teams.
At GRIT, I lead our internal mentoring program and run weekly training sessions for our physios, because I believe great care starts with how we train our clinicians. I also work externally with other clinics across Melbourne, where I’m regularly brought in to train their staff and help lift clinical standards. It’s something I’m proud of, and I see it as part of my responsibility to support the future of our profession, not just inside GRIT, but across the industry.
Whether I’m working with a professional athlete or someone just trying to move without pain, my focus is always the same: clear assessment, quality treatment, and outcomes that matter.
In summer, I open the bowling for Deepdene Uniting Cricket Club on Saturdays, doing my best to terrorise batters (or at least keep the wides under control). I love staying active, reading, and learning. Whether it’s through refining my hands-on techniques, digging into new research, or mentoring young physios. That mindset flows into every part of how I treat, teach, and lead.
