FAQs
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support for Australians with disabilities, their families, and carers.
Podiatrists treat a variety of foot and lower limb issues, including heel pain, bunions, ingrown toenails, plantar fasciitis, diabetic foot problems, and sports injuries.
Generally, you don’t need a referral to see a podiatrist unless you’re accessing treatment through programs like Medicare, DVA, or NDIS.
Podiatry can help NDIS participants by addressing foot and lower limb conditions, improving mobility, and reducing pain, enabling them to perform daily activities more comfortably. Our podiatrist treat a range of conditions, providing services such as stroke rehabilitation, neuro physiotherapy, chronic pain management, and tailored care for various disabilities.
Yes, podiatry services can be funded through your NDIS plan, meaning there may be no out-of-pocket costs for you.
During your first appointment, the podiatrist will assess your medical history, examine your feet and lower limbs, and discuss treatment options tailored to your needs.
Contact us at 03 9999 7271 or email info@gritphysio.com.au. We’ll discuss your needs and create a service agreement to ensure your podiatry services are covered by your NDIS plan.
